| New for 2012: About the product line PVC - signs are made from PVC boards largely used to build environmentally friendly decks. Very durable to changing weather conditions however some animals have been known to chew on the signs to sharpen their teeth (mainly squirrels). If this is an issue a frame is highly recommended. HDPE - signs are made from sheets of a U.V. stabilized version of high density polyethylene called Marina board. Heavily used in the boating industry it is extremely durable to weather conditions and sunlight. It is also more dense and rigid than the PVC making it more tamper resistant. Wood frame - made from pine or cedar, it will keep small animals from chewing the signs but is not very durable to weather conditions and tampering standard aluminum frame - animal proof, weather proof and more tamper proof than the wood frame leaves the face of the sign open security frame - made from steel or aluminum can be fitted to a variety of posts. features a hinge mechanism on the bottom allowing the sign and a plexi glass face plate cover that is placed over the face of the sign to be slid into the bottom of the frame and then remove them to change sponsors or replace the plexi glass. The frame bolts to the post with lag bolts that take a special tool to remove ensuring against theft or vandalism. Note that the steel frame will require more upkeep than the aluminum. These frames are the best bet for protecting your investment. Interchangeable aluminum sponsor plates - engraved aluminum sponsor plates allows for new revenue to be generated for the course as often as you see fit. Sponsor plates attach to the sign with allen key bolts with a locking "T-nut" to ensure longevity of the structure. Aluminum is used for its low maintenance qualities, the allen key bolt is used to help guard against vandalism of the sign with or without the security frame. To best gaurd against any theft or vandalism the security frame is highly recommended. |
